Luma is designed with privacy in mind. We collect minimal data necessary to provide our services:
- Search queries — stored locally on your device to provide recent searches. Not sent to our servers.
- Settings preferences — language, marketplace, appearance, and accessibility settings stored locally on your device.
- Voice input — processed on-device for speech recognition. Audio is not recorded or transmitted to our servers.
- Product data — retrieved from Amazon and travel partner APIs when you search. These requests are routed through third-party API services.
3. Third-Party Services
Luma uses the following third-party services to provide its functionality:
- Amazon — product data and affiliate links
- Travel partners — flight and hotel search data
- Expo / React Native — app framework and updates
Each third-party service has its own privacy policy governing their data handling practices.
4. Affiliate Disclosure
Luma earns commissions from qualifying purchases made through Amazon and travel partner links. This does not affect the price you pay.
5. Data Storage
All user preferences, search history, and settings are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. We do not maintain user accounts or store personal data on external servers.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Rectify inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to data processing
- Data portability
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you can exercise these rights by clearing the app data or uninstalling the app.
