Accessibility Statement

JobIsDone UG (haftungsbeschränkt) builds LUMAPLUS — Accessible Shopping. Accessibility is the reason the app exists, so this page sets out plainly what we have done, what we have tested, and what we know is still missing.

1. Conformance status

We target WCAG 2.2 Level AA for this website and the equivalent platform guidance (Apple's Human Interface Guidelines for accessibility) for the iOS app.

Our current status is partially conformant: most of the standard is met, but some content does not yet fully conform. This assessment is our own — it has not been independently audited by a third party. We would rather say that than imply a certification we do not hold.

2. What we have done

  • Screen reader support — every control is labelled, given a role, and placed in a logical reading order. Tested end to end with VoiceOver on physical iOS devices, not only in the simulator.
  • Text scaling — the app follows your system text size, including the larger accessibility sizes. Layouts reflow rather than clip.
  • Contrast and colour — text is checked against WCAG AA contrast ratios, and colour is never the only means of conveying information.
  • Target size — interactive targets are at least 44×44pt.
  • Switch Control and keyboards — supported, with no interaction that requires a precise drag, pinch or long-press.
  • Reduced motion — the system “Reduce Motion” setting is honoured in both the app and on this website. Animation on this page stops entirely when it is on.
  • Voice search — search can be spoken in plain sentences instead of typed.

3. Known limitations

These are the gaps we are aware of. If you hit something not on this list, we want to hear about it.

  • iOS only. There is no Android release yet, so Android screen reader users (TalkBack) cannot use the app at all today.
  • Product content comes from Amazon. Titles, images and specifications are supplied by Amazon and its sellers. Where a listing is written badly or an image has no useful description, we can improve how it is presented but we cannot fix the underlying data.
  • AI image descriptions are generated. They are a best effort at describing a product photo and can be incomplete or wrong. Treat them as a helpful summary, not as a guarantee of what you are buying.
  • Prices for product variants. Prices for individual colours or sizes are fetched separately and are not always available. The Amazon listing is always the authoritative price.
  • Checkout happens on Amazon. Luma does not sell anything, so the final purchase takes place on Amazon's own website or app, whose accessibility is outside our control.
  • This site has not been externally audited. Blog articles in particular are reviewed less often than the main pages.

4. Report a barrier

If something in the app or on this site gets in your way, please tell us. We treat accessibility barriers as bugs, not as feature requests.

Use the contact form, and if you can, include the screen you were on, the assistive technology you were using, and what you expected to happen. We aim to acknowledge reports within five working days.

5. Enforcement

If you contact us about an accessibility barrier and are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate the matter to the relevant supervisory body for accessibility in your country. In Germany this is the Schlichtungsstelle nach dem Behindertengleichstellungsgesetz (BGG).
